Course Overview
The conversion of conventional medical records into electronic form is occurring rapidly because of the
financial incentives and efficiencies that it offers. The growth in health information technology to support
this conversion is offering job opportunities for those with knowledge of how these systems can be implemented
and operated. This course is all about the implementation of electronic medical records (EMR) and beyond. The
course will provide strategies for implementation, optimization and utilization of Health Information Technology for maximum benefit. It
will be helpful to anyone working in the delivery and management of healthcare.

At the completion of this course,
participants will:
- Understand the scope and complexity of today’s changing healthcare environment and the use of health information technology.
- Be able to use appropriate change management strategies during and EMR/HIT implementation.
