8 Hours ARRT Category A Credit
Christine Eckenrod, RT(R)(CT)(MR)
|
|
About this Seminar
This seminar will explore the evolution of CT.
This historic review will produce insight and perspective to the current clinical applications like CT Angiography,
Virtual Imaging, Brain Perfusion and PET/CT. The conclusion of the day includes necessary theory of optimizing
reformatted images and recognition of potential artifacts which will help attendees transition from the "everyday"
technologist to the "indispensable" technologist.
|
Educational Objectives
At the completion of this seminar, participants will:
- Examine the transition from single
slice to dual source CT.
- Relate detector configurations past
and present.
- Assess the importance of slip ring
technology to CT evolution.
- Compare and describe resolution parameter.
- Integrate mAs and kVp relationship.
- Validate importance of table pitch
and speed.

|
Who Should Attend
|
- Radiologic technologists currently working in CT
- Professionals interested in CT technology applications.
