A Review of MR Imaging
8 Hours ARRT Category A Credit
Thomas Padikal, Ph.D.
|
|
About this Seminar
This seminar provides valuable information for technologists working in MR and
wanting to improve their knowledge of this technology. This seminar is also
appropriate for technologists wanting to cross train into MR and gain knowledge in
this highly technical field. Survival in today’s increasingly competitive
market of MRI means that you must have a comprehensive knowledge of this modality.
The information provided in this seminar will expand your knowledge of this
powerful diagnostic tool and enhance you imaging techniques.
|
Educational Objectives
At the completion of this seminar, participants will:
- explain and review the basic principles of Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- utilize appropriate MR pulse sequences in clinical imaging
- explain how acquisition parameters affect MR image quality
- understand how signal-to-noise and spatial resolution affect MR image
quality
- describe the various applications of fast imaging techniques including Echo
Planar Imaging
- recognize MR normal anatomy and identify pathologic differences in various
pulse sequences

Who Should Attend
|
|
You should attend if you are a MR technologist or MR imaging specialist
interested in improving and expanding your MR imaging capabilities. It will
provide a good review of MRI principles and concepts for those preparing for
the ARRT subspecialty examination in MRI. This seminar would also be a good
introduction to MRI for those interested in entering the field.
