About this Seminar
The technical capabilities of magnetic resonance imaging continue to present significant challenges to optimize clinical examinations and produce high
image quality. This seminar will address the critical information you need to master to be a successful MRI technologist. The seminar will feature
practical clinical scenarios the technologist faces and how to deal with them. You will come away with useful applied information to help you take
maximum advantage of the capabilities of your scanner, work safely in this environment and provide the best images to answer the clinical question for
each patient.

About the Instructor
|
|
Vera K. Kimbrell, BS, RT(R)(MR)
|
|
Vera K. Kimbrell, BSRT(R)(MR) is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas and the Baptist School of Radiology in
Little Rock, Arkansas. Vera was introduced to MRI in 1985 and soon became the lead tech and site manager at the Baptist
Hospital in Little Rock. Vera passed the first MR registry, which was given in 1995. This was the starting point of her
desire to help other technologists become proficient in the field. She was employed at Shields Health Care in Brockton,
MA where she has played a key role in the development and management of an MRI accelerated internship program for RT’s.
Vera is currently employed at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. She has been a member of SMRT for 10 years and
currently serves as its President-elect. MTMI is excited to have Vera share her knowledge and enthusiasm with MTMI students.

Seminar Credit

This program provides 8 hours of Category A continuing education credit for radiologic technologists recognized by the ARRT and various licensure
states. A certificate of attendance will be provided for each individual upon completion of the seminar. All attendees must attend the entire
seminar to receive full credit.
