About This Seminar
Modulated Arc Therapy (IMAT/VMAT) is a rapidly emerging progression of conventional IMRT technology. During treatment, beam parameters are in a dynamic
state while the machine is in arc motion.
This seminar offers participants an all-inclusive perspective on IMAT/VMAT. It is a must attend for any facility implementing or considering to
implement this technology. The faculty will bring a large amount of clinical knowledge on relevant topics and share a host of professional experience
from well established patient databases and technical experience.
IMAT/VMAT is quickly evolving as a practical solution which rivals slice-based and fixed field IMRT.
Please join us for this exciting educational opportunity!

Educational Objectives
This seminar will assist attendees in:
- Discovering how dynamic IMAT/VMAT is not only fast and efficient but produces highly conformal dose distributions, can improve therapeutic ratio
compared with static IMRT, minimizes dose variances, as a result of intrafraction motion & is well tolerated by patients.
- Identifying key clinical rationale for treating with IMAT/VMAT vs. conventional IMRT.
- Identifying the resources required in implementation of an IMAT/VMAT program.
- Classifying various IMAT/VMAT treatment planning techniques.
- Examining how utilizing IMAT/VMAT can be an advantage with Radiosurgery and SBRT treatments.
- Formulating IMAT/VMAT quality assurance practices.
- Differentiating the rationale and clinical efficiency for using IMAT/VMAT in various disease entities.

Attendees will be able to participate in faculty directed case presentations offered in multiple sessions. The clinical case tutorials will cover
varying anatomical sites, be performed real-time (on different treatment planning systems) and be organized in tracks to allow participation by
individual’s within their specific area of interest.

Seminar Credit
|
|
The Medical Technology Management Institute (MTMI) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education for
physicians.
MTMI designates this educational activity for a maximum of 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ". Physicians should claim only the credit
commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Credits will also be provided to medical physicists by CAMPEP, dosimetrists by the MDCB and therapists as 16.5 category A by the ASRT.
