Forensic radiography is a very demanding area of the
medical imaging sciences. Successful examinations depend on the
technologist's ability to master complex and challenging working
conditions. This seminar will provide you with knowledge and skills
you need to skillfully complete most forensic
examinations.
Educational Objectives
At the completion of this seminar,
participants will:
Understand the role radiologic imaging plays in a broad spectrum of forensic investigations.
Have a greater awareness of the history of forensic imaging and some of the
uncommon applications of imaging in a variety of investigations.
Have a greater understanding of the use of forensic imaging and it's status in the
forensic community.
Be familar with the forensic radiographer's importance during natural disasters.
Be familar with the forensic radiographer's importance in morgue operations following
disasters such as hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Ike, the Haitian earthquake and the tornadoes of 2011.
Both registered technologists and radiology students will
benefit from this seminar.
