About this Seminar
Trauma and forensic radiography are two very demanding areas of the medical imaging sciences. Successful examinations depend on the technologist's ability to master complex and challenging working conditions. This seminar will provide you with knowledge and skills you need to skillfully complete most trauma or forensic examinations.

At the completion of this seminar, participants will:
- Augment their knowledge and skills to better image the critical trauma patient.
- Be better informed of available resources to aid in answering questions regarding legal and ethical obligations.

Who Should Attend

Both registered technologists and radiology students will benefit from this
seminar. It is especially appropriate for the technologist
recently employed in a trauma or acute care facility and for
technologists working with forensic cases. Radiography
clinical instructors will also benefit from this program.

About the Instructor

Nancy Adams, BS, RT(R)

|
Nancy has recently been named one of the 25 Most Influential
Technologists by RT Image magazine. Honored as having gone above and
beyond the call of duty and making great strides in her profession.
Nancy has over 35 years’ experience as an RT and is clinical
coordinator for radiologic sciences at Itawamba Community
College in Fulton, MS. Prior to this position, she served as
adjunct faculty for the Universities of Tennessee and Central
Arkansas, and her professional experience includes both
department head and program director. She has been active in the
professional organizations, serving on various committees with
both the Tennessee and Arkansas societies, and has served as
Executive Secretary for the Mississippi Society of Radiologic
Technologists since 1989. She has served on the credentials
committee for the ARRT and has been named Technologist of the
Year by both MSRT (1992) and MSRT District II (1994). She has
served in the ASRT House of Delegates as Education and
Radiography Chapter Delegate for region VII, and is currently a
national Radiography Chapter Delegate in the ASRT House of
Delegates. Nancy was recently awarded the first International
Speakers Exchange Grant given by ASRT, and spoke at the
United Kingdom Radiological Conference in Manchester, England in
June, 2007. She is also the first technologist to be accepted
for membership in the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.

Seminar Credit

This program provides 8 hours of Category A continuing education credit for
radiologic technologists recognized by the ARRT and various licensure states.
A certificate of attendance will be provided for each individual upon
completion of the seminar. All attendees must attend the entire seminar to
receive full credit.

Qualifying 'Early' registrations must be made at least 14 days in advance.
Refunds, minus a $30 processing fee, will be granted for cancellations
received at least 3 days prior to the seminar. Cancellations received
within 3 days of the seminar will receive a credit toward a future
MTMI seminar, minus the $30 processing fee. No refunds will be
made after the seminar.
Registration Discounts
Group discount for a group from one facility registering at the same time: 3-5
attendees 5%; 6 or more attendees 10%. Group discounts for MTMI
Institutional Members can be as high as 25%, please contact MTMI for details
(discount is not applicable if the tuition is paid by purchase order). For
student rates, contact MTMI. Members of MTMI receive a discount. Only one
discount may be applied.

MTMI reserves the right to cancel any scheduled seminar due to low
advance registration or other reasons. MTMI’s liability is limited to a refund
of any program tuition paid. MTMI recommends that attendees use refundable
airline tickets for travel to seminars. In case of cancellation of a seminar for
any reason, MTMI is not responsible for travel costs incurred by attendees
including non-refundable airline tickets.
