and
Richard Carlton, MS, RT(R)(CV), FAEIRS
About this Seminar
Radiographic imaging is undergoing new challenges that require the technologist to learn new technologies while continuing to apply the important concepts of high quality imaging. A good understanding of digital imaging is essential to success as this new method of making radiographic images proliferates. This seminar brings two highly respected authorities on radiographic imaging together to share their perspectives and knowledge on digital imaging and the critically important concepts necessary to be successful in the field today.
Educational Objectives
At the completion of this seminar, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the characteristics of an image important for image quality.

  • Understand the parameters affecting digital image quality.

  • Understand the major differences of digital imaging compared to film-screen imaging.

  • Explain the difference between computed radiography and direct radiography.

  • Describe methods to control scatter and improve image quality.

  • Understand the implications of converting to digital imaging in your clinic.
