About these Seminars
Pathology and Diagnostic Imaging This seminar will
identify primary disease processes of the chest and respiratory
system, gastrointestinal system, cardiovascular system and central
nervous system. Including a comprehensive discussion of the
diagnostic imaging procedures utilized in demonstrating these
diseases and conditions.
Forensic and Trauma Imaging This seminar presents an
overview of forensic and trauma imaging. The focus is placed upon
the role of the radiographer, his duties, requirements, and
responsibilities as they pertain to the work environment under the
direction of a forensic pathologist.
Educational Objectives
At the completion of the seminar, Pathology and Diagnostic Imaging,
participants will be able to:
Differentiate the more common pathologic conditions and identify their radiologic manifestations in each major body system.
Explain the changes in technical factors required to obtain optimal images in each major body system.
Explain the advantages and disadvantages of the imaging modalities used to detect pathology in each major body system.
At the completion of the seminar, Forensic and Trauma Imaging,
participants will be able to:
Describe the physical and mental requirements of the radiographer working in forensic medicine.
Describe the radiographic protocols for unnatural deaths.
Describe the purpose of an autopsy in a death investigation.
Explain uses of radiography in the identification of skeletal remains.
Technologists wanting to improve skills in working with trauma and forensic patients
Technologists employed in trauma or acute care facilities
About the Instructor
Paul F. Laudicina, MA, RT(R), BCFE, DABFE, FACFE
"Top Tech"
Professor Paul Laudicina has been a radiologic
technologist for over 48 years. He retired from the College of
Du Page in Glen Ellyn, IL. having taught for 35 years and is
currently a teaching faculty in the Radiologic Technology, CT,
and MRI programs at Long Beach City College, Long Beach,
California. Paul has also presented seminars on many topics
over several years for MTMI.
Seminar Credit
These seminars provide 8 hours of Category A continuing
education credit for radiologic technologists each day. A
certificate of attendance will be provided for each individual
upon completion of each seminar. All attendees must attend the
entire seminar to receive full credit. Credit is awarded for
radiologic technologists as ARRT Category A Credit approved by
the ASRT, and credit from various licensure states. At the completion of the entire 2-day conference, attendees
will have earned 16 hours of Category A credits.
