About these Seminars
MRI Registry Review
Day One of Conference
This review of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) offers a unique opportunity to prepare for the ARRT
MRI certification examination. It will provide a greater understanding of
MRI and help expand your knowledge
in the development this modality. You will review key MRI principles, image formation processes and safety concerns. At the end of the program practice
review questions will be included to assess your knowledge of the material and review the important concepts covered in the seminar.
Progressive Imaging
Techniques in MR
Day Two of Conference
MRI is experiencing increased utilization for imaging. MRI technology advances are moving fast as this modality takes on more of the diagnostic imaging
workload. Scans that once took hours now take minutes... or even seconds to acquire. Keep up with the technology and see how MRI can provide faster
scans and improved image quality. The utility (and safety) of increasing field strength is addressed as well as applications in stroke, abdominal,
cardiovascular and breast MR imaging.

Educational Objectives
At the completion of the seminar,
MRI Registry Review
Day One of Conference,
participants will be able to:
- List the central components of an MRI imager.
- Define key concepts such as nuclear magnetism, Larmor equation, precession, gyro-magnetic ratio, resonance, tissue characteristics, T1, T2,
spatial localization, etc.
- Examine various MRI pulse sequences.
- Apply MRI protocols and imaging techniques for different body parts.
- Summarize the main safety concerns pertaining to MRI
At the completion of the seminar,
Progressive Imaging Techniques in MR
Day Two of Conference,
participants will be able to:
- Separate the characteristics of basic FSE pulse sequence.
- Identify the appropriate clinical applications where fat and water suppression are important.
- Assess safety considerations to regard to increases in Tesla field strength.
- Integrate technical and practical considerations for cerebrovascular, cardiovascular and abdominal imaging.
- Validate the unique value of MR in the evaluation of the breast.

MRI Registry Review
Day One of Conference
You should attend this seminar if you are an X-ray technologist interested in entering the field of MRI or have other sub-specialty experience and
want to prepare for the ARRT MRI certification examination. You will also benefit from this seminar, if you are an MRI technologist wishing to
review MRI technology or to add to your knowledge of this modality.
Progressive Imaging Techniques in MR
Day Two of Conference
You should attend if you are a MR technologist or MR imaging specialist interested in improving and expanding your MR imaging capabilities.
Attendees should have some familiarity with the basic principles and concepts of MRI. This seminar is for the working MRI technologist, managers
and others wanting to cover image formation basics as well as some of the latest techniques available to the MR technologist. Use this information
to understand how the parameters in your protocol affect images and patient throughput.

Seminar Credit
|
|
These seminars provide 8 hours of Category A continuing education credit for radiologic technologists each day. A certificate of attendance will
be provided for each individual upon completion of each seminar. All attendees must attend the entire seminar to receive full credit. Credit is
awarded for radiologic technologists as ARRT Category A Credit approved by the ASRT, and credit from various licensure states.
At the completion of the entire 2-day conference, attendees will have earned 16 hours of Category A credits.
