About this webinar
It is estimated that as many as 10 million baby boomers in the United
States (U.S.) will develop Alzheimer’s disease in their lifetime.
Alzheimer's is the most common form of dementia, and accounts for 50
to 80 percent of dementia cases. This presentation explores the
effect that Alzheimer’s has on families and the role of medical
imaging in the management of this catastrophic disease process.

available to each registrant prior to
the webinar. This will allow you to follow along with the presentation and make notes as you feel necessary.
This webinar will be presented in
one 1-hour session.

Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of this webinar, participants should be able to:
- Specify the various forms of dementia.
- Describe the risk factors associated with Alzheimer’s disease (AD).
- Recall the warning signs of Alzheimer’s.
- Discuss the role of medical imaging in diagnosis of Alzheimer’s.
- Explain the effects that Alzheimer’s disease has on brain anatomy.

About the Instructor

Denise Lukasik-Sedmak, Ed.D., RT(R)(M)(MR)(CT)
|
|
Denise Lukasik-Sedmak, Ed.D., RT(R)(M)(MR)(CT) has joined the
MTMI staff as the Senior Director for Education. Dr. Sedmak
has worked with MTMI in the past and is delighted to be back.
She had been involved in Clinical Education Development
at GE Healthcare for the past nine years and brings a wealth of
knowledge in medical and clinical education. Denise will
be instrumental in driving growth opportunities and initiatives
in clinical education.
Dr. Sedmak has worked in various health care facilities in the Milwaukee and
surrounding areas and completed her Bachelor of Science Degree from University
of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and her Master of Science in Management and her
Doctorate in Education form Cardinal Stritch University. She is currently the
Chair and Past- President of the Wisconsin State Society of Radiologic
Technologists and has certifications in radiography, mammography, magnetic
resonance imaging and computed tomography.
Dr. Sedmak resides in Bay View, Wisconsin with her husband and has been a
theatrical and Middle Eastern dance instructor for over 25 years. She has
centered her life on life long learning and education.

Advanced tuition for a single session of the webinar series is $0.00 (MTMI members $0.00) per session
when registration is received 4 or more days prior to the start of session one of the webinar series.
Regular tuition is $0.00 (MTMI members $0.00) per session
when registration is received 3 or less days prior to the start of session one of the webinar series.

Refunds of tuition will be made to registrants that cannot log into the webinar due to

fee. Cancelations made within 3 days of the start of the webinar series will receive a
credit toward a future MTMI webinar less the $15 processing fee. No refunds will be
made after the start of the webinar series with the exception stated above.
MTMI reserves the right to cancel any scheduled webinar due to low advance
registration or other reasons. MTMI’s liability is limited to a refund of any
program tuition paid.
