About this webinar
Computed Tomography has made a huge impact on diagnostic imaging since it was introduced to the medical field some 40 years ago. So much about CT imaging technologies and our clinical environments change rapidly, challenging today’s CT technologist to keep up, and keep it fresh. This webinar is designed to help CT techs at any level improve their skills of caring for patients and performing high-quality scans. It will cover communication, preparation, contrast enhancement, managing patient dose, and scanning parameters for the most common exams. Finally, we will spend time learning about different pathologies in clinical situations scanned on a daily basis. This webinar is a great way to learn more about practical applications for today’s CT scanning.

A printable download will be
available to each registrant prior to
each session of the webinar.
This will allow you to follow along
with the presentation and make
notes as you feel necessary.

This webinar will be presented
in four 2-hour sessions.

Educational Objectives
At the completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
  • Understand why CT dose is getting so much attention.
  • Become familiar with terms and methods used to express radiation dose from CT and how to control it.
  • Review the applications and risks of contrast agents used in CT.
  • Appreciate the importance of patient communication and exam preparation.
  • Have insight into the various protocols used to enhance CT image quality and control radiation dose in various clinical situations.
  • Learn how to handle unique cases encountered in CT scanning.
