Breast MRI for the Technologist
2 Hours ARRT Category A Credit
Paul Worthington, BS, RT(R)(MR)
|
|
About this webinar
Breast MR has rapidly become a useful adjunct imaging technique in the detection of breast cancer.
As a result of mainstream media coverage, consumer awareness and demand for breast MR services has increased.
For the MR technologist, breast imaging poses unique challenges related to balancing temporal and spatial resolution.
Use of dedicated equipment and sequence add-ons like parallel imaging and fat suppression are integral to the successful breast MR program.
A printable download will be e-mailed to each registrant prior to the first session of the webinar. This will allow you
to follow along with the presentation and make notes as you feel necessary.
This webinar will be presented in ONE 2-hour session.

Educational Objectives
At the completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify pulse sequences used in breast MR.
- Discuss technical compensations critical to successful breast MR.
- Discuss the importance of balancing spatial and temporal resolution in breast MR.
- Identify equipment needed for proper performance of breast MR.
- Discuss imaging protocols and post processing in breast MR.
