About this webinar
Radiology has been developing dramatically during the past few
years. With enhancements in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and
computed tomography (CT), the role of the radiologic technologist
has also been changing.
Skills in cross-sectional anatomy are
important to help the technologist in MRI and CT to identify the
anatomy being imaged and to communicate effectively with the
radiologist and physicians.
This webinar is offered to provide you with the opportunity to
expand your knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and its
appearance in CT and MRI images.
A printable download will be
available to each registrant prior to
each session of the webinar.
This will allow you to follow along
with the presentation and make
notes as you feel necessary.
This webinar will be presented
in four 2-hour sessions.

Educational Objectives
At the completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify cross-sectional anatomy in the sagittal, coronal and axial planes on CT and MR images.
- Describe anatomical structural relationships.
- Recognize normal anatomy and build a personal resource system for future study.
- Recognize common pathologies for each anatomical region.
- Locate and identify pertinent upper thorax and midthorax.
- On CT and MR images, identify anatomical structures.
- Distinguish between arterial and venous anatomy.
- Classify the various sections of anatomical regions and their associated parts.

Who Should Attend
|
|
You should attend if you are a radiologic technologist currently
working in CT and MRI or are interested in learning about these fields.
Student technologists will also find this an effective way to learn
about or expand their knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
It would be appropriate for other health care professionals interested
in improving their knowledge in this basic skill area.

Webinar Credit
|
|
This webinar provides a total of 8 hours of Category A
continuing education credit for radiologic technologists
recognized by the ARRT and various licensure states. A
certificate of attendance will be provided for each individual
upon completion of each 2 hour session of the webinar. You
must attend all webinar sessions to receive the full 8 hours
of credit.
If you have attended Cross Sectional Anatomy of the Body
for CT & MRI as a live seminar you will not be able to
recieve credit for this event.
This webinar also provides a total of 6 hours (1.5 hours per
webinar session) continuing education credits for Certified
Medical Dosimetrists recognized by the MDCB. A certificate
of attendance, documenting 1.5 hours of credit will be provided
