Effective bedside critical care depends on the proper execution of central and peripheral line techniques. Without essential vascular access training, patients are at risk for serious complications. Increasing your diagnostic accuracy and proficiency will raise your level of care and improve patient outcomes.
This 2.5-day course was created for physicians, nurses and technologists and other clinicians who seek instruction on peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) lines, central venous catheterization (CVC) lines and dialysis access. The course includes comprehensive didactics on anatomy, patient selection and post-procedure evaluation.
In addition to engaging lectures and demonstrations, attendees will have the unique opportunity to participate in hands-on training in the techniques of ultrasound-guided venous access.
Educational Objectives
• Describe anatomy and patient evaluation for vascular access
• Describe techniques for PICC lines, central lines, and dialysis access
