About this Program

This MRI Advanced Training Course is designed for working MRI technologists who want to enhance and strengthen their knowledge on the principles of MRI physics and technology.  A working knowledge of MR physics, imaging parameters, and cross-sectional anatomy is imperative for those attending this course.  The faculty for this program includes experienced MRI clinical technologists and lecturers with extensive MRI clinical experience.  This intensive 3-day course will highlight and focus on current clinical applications and the latest technical advances.  Sign up today to enhance your MRI skills. 

Educational Objectives

At the completion of this course, participants should be able to: 

 

  • Describe basic and advanced pulse sequences  

  • Understand and Review K space manipulation  

  • Discuss common artifacts and system malfunctions  

  • Utilize Fast Scanning Techniques  

  • Discuss advanced imaging procedures of neuro imaging, including cranial nerves and brain perfusion protocols and techniques  

  • Describe new MRI applications for 1.5 T and 3 T  

  • Understand protocols and procedures for special body imaging, including enterography, urography and rectal imaging  

  • Understand emergency safety situations for quench events, contrast reactions, and natural disasters  

  • Review case-based MR Artifacts  

  • Define the MR safety guidelines as recommended by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety (ABMRS). 

  • Review the MR safety recommendations and guidelines when imaging implants in the MR environment

Paul is a MR National Clinical Services Specialist with Philip Healthcare (Gainesville, FL). As an MR professional since 1987, Paul has extensive MR knowledge working in university hospital, mobile and private practice settings. He has held several roles ranging from staff technologist, clinical applications specialist and manager. His knowledge in MR and understanding multi-vendor capabilities make him a strong educator on this topic. Paul has been lecturing on the clinical and practical applications of MR since 2003.

Ryan Draeger is an MRI clinical applications specialist for Canon Medical USA.  Ryan is instrumental in training and educating staff in MRI and MRI safety.  He is also credentialed as an MRI safety officer and MRI safety expert through the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety.  He enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with other medical professionals for education and improvement.

Cancellation Policy

Courses

Refunds, minus a $50 processing fee, will be granted for cancellations received prior to 3 days before the program. Cancellations received within 3 days of the program will receive a credit toward a future MTMI program, minus the $50 processing fee. No refunds will be made after the program starts. MTMI reserves the right to cancel any scheduled program because of low advance registration or other reasons. MTMI’s liability is limited to a refund of any program tuition paid. MTMI recommends that attendees use refundable airline tickets. In case of cancellation of a program for any reason, MTMI is not responsible for travel costs incurred by attendees including non-refundable airline tickets. When offered, WEBINAR ATTENDEES that cannot log in due to unsolvable technical issues beyond their control will be eligible for a full refund.
