About this Webinar
Nearly half of women over age 40 in the U.S. have dense breast tissue. Dense breast tissue increases a woman's chances of getting breast cancer by four to six times and can conceal cancer on a mammogram. Women with dense breast tissue require both knowledge of their composition and a tailored approach to cancer screening to improve detection rates and reduce interval cancers. The majority of US states have mandated that women are notified if they have dense breast tissues in their mammogram results letters and together with a patient’s physician, technologists are often tasked with educating patients about their classification.

Dave Mezzoprete, BS
Dave Mezzoprete has over 30 years of experience in women's imaging and has held sales and sales management positions with several companies over that period of time. Dave sold Lorad/Hologic mammography units for many years before joining R2 Technology to introduce the first computer-aided-detection system for mammography into the market. Later Dave and was a digital mammography specialist for Fuji and helped to introduce the Fuji FCRm CR for mammography into the US. Recently Dave has teamed up again with many of the scientists from R2 Technology to bring Volpara Solutions Density, Dose, and Analytics products to market.
