About this Program

Registration is Closed.  Optimizing breast compression helps produce a high-quality mammogram which is key to early detection. This program provides a review of the impact compression has on mammography quality. Technologists have the opportunity to personalize pressure and apply appropriate force for every patient’s unique body habitus. Participants will obtain an understanding of the physics of compression, strategies and techniques to improve quality, and learn the potential for Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help monitor and optimize compression.

Educational Objectives

At the conclusion of this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • Discuss the importance of optimal positioning and compression to mammography image quality
  • Discover current research about the impact of compression in mammography and patient outcomes
  • Understand the underlying physics of compression pressure in mammography
  • Identify key techniques to optimize compression pressure and apply force according to unique patient body habitus
  • Understand the potential for AI and benchmarking to assist in personalizing compression pressure
  • Discuss and identify patient preparation and interaction techniques that can improve patient experience

Schedule

In-person and live webinar options
