MTMI Makes Waves in Texas Market with Breast Ultrasound Training Course
We had tremendous success with our first live Breast Ultrasound Course in Houston, Texas. Attendance exceeded our expectations, with the majority of the attendees’ onsite and more logging in online through our option to take the course as a webinar.
Our cross-training program is geared towards technologists and provides them with the structured education required by the ARRT to sit for certification and registration. In addition, physicians that practice in women’s health find this course to be helpful in learning breast ultrasound techniques and practice hands-on.
Dr. Steinhaus, MD, FACS attended this outstanding program on-site in Houston. She said, “As a surgeon and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, I highly recommend this MTMI Breast Ultrasound Course. In order to satisfy the criteria for ultrasound certification, I needed to go to a one-day course that had hands-on experience. The ASBS cancelled both the 2020 and the 2021 US courses at the annual meeting because of COVID-19 and very few US courses qualify. Since I have been doing breast US since 1995, I was unsure about this course that seemed oriented towards technologists. I can tell you it was terrific. It had the specific physics that we need to know PLUS a huge wealth of practical information to use while in the patient’s room. And the bonus is that the meeting administrators were terrific! They were friendly and helpful. Whatever the concern there were multiple smiling faces trying to give each participant the best chance to learn. The food and drink were better than any meeting that I have ever attended—which increases the participants comfort so more time is spent absorbing the course. This course was gem!”
Our live programs are hosted at facilities that allow us to practice social distancing and be COVID compliant in adherence to the CDC guidelines. We do recommend that you bring and wear your own mask to help keep the environment safe for other attendees and MTMI staff. There are always extra masks and sanitation materials available at our event locations.
With the success of our past students across the country having a 94% pass rate when taking the board exam for breast ultrasound, we look forward to expanding our cross-training opportunities to the Texas community. This year, we will have more live programs happening in Houston for Initial Training in Mammography, Breast Ultrasound and Vascular Ultrasound.
If you can’t join us in person, there is still a chance to attend with our webinar option. You get the same experience and training but from the comfort of your own home. There are online coordinators that watch and monitor the program to help ensure that the quality and experience is as if you are with us in person.
