The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP), which offers accredited degree and certificate programs in fast-growing allied health fields, today announced its acquisition of Medical Technology Management Institute (MTMI), a nationally recognized provider of continuing education for medical imaging and emerging healthcare technologies.
“The integration of new continuing education programs combined with CHCP’s existing, high quality curriculum will create new career opportunities for our employees as medical technologies continue to evolve,” said Tonya Bell Brightmon, imaging manager of Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, Texas. “These programs are tightly coupled with the demands of employers, and will give individuals real opportunities to translate educational experiences into economic opportunities.”
Healthcare jobs continue be among the fastest-growing in the country, with more than 328,000 jobs created since 2017, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Growth in the field is expected to continue, including for occupations related to medical imaging, as an aging population will increase the number of medical conditions that require imaging for diagnosis. Recent reports indicate far more job openings than skilled applicants and a looming health care skills gap, leading healthcare providers and education institutions to seek new strategies to connect individuals with career-aligned education and lifetime training.

MTMI provides over 6,000 continuing education and training programs per year, reaching more than 145,000 medical imaging and radiation professionals over its 30-year history. The institution has helped employees at thousands of healthcare providers access on-demand education and training in fast-growing fields including radiography, ultrasound, and MRI.
