Breast Ultrasound Training Course

Michele has been a registered radiologic technologist since 1998, specializing in mammography since 2005, and breast sonography since 2011. Michele worked at a community hospital in her hometown for over 22 years where she was the lead at the Women’s Health Pavilion breast imaging department. In 2020 she relocated to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN in the breast Imaging and interventions department where she currently works. Michele enjoys sharing her knowledge which led her to be a clinical instructor in mammography and breast sonography for a local college. Michele’s passion for breast imaging and teaching led her to MTMI in 2018, where she became an independent breast imaging consultant helping facilities all over the United States with ACR failures, continuing education and specialized training in mammography and ultrasound. She enjoys teaching and mentoring others and feels blessed to be able to share her knowledge and experiences with others!

As a skilled ultrasound technologist, Michelle has helped thousands of patients receive accurate diagnoses since 2016. Michelle currently holds multiple registries including: Abdomen, Breast and Vascular. She has received numerous awards at her former company of Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas health, for her patient advocacy, including an award and acknowledgement from the New Jersey Devils. With expertise in various imaging modalities, she provides compassionate care. She has had the pleasure to teach, along with mentor both students and staff for most of her career. Michelle is currently working at St. Luke’s University at the Regional Breast Center. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys hanging out with her family, dogs, volunteering and of course shopping.

Registered with the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) in abdominal ultrasound since 2020 and breast since 2025, Lauren has five years of experience in the field. She began her career specializing in fertility ultrasound, performing follicular and early obstetrical exams, gynecological procedures such as SHG and FemVue, and assisting with IVF and IUI treatments. This specialized expertise led her to join Cristie Kerr at Jersey City Medical Center, where she now conducts a broad spectrum of ultrasound exams, including breast, OB/GYN, small parts, and abdominal studies. Most of her day is spent with women, performing breast ultrasounds or ultrasound-guided breast biopsies. In addition to her clinical work, Lauren is an editor for the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
