Dr. Atinga graduated from the School of Medicine at Cambridge University [England]. She completed her diagnostic radiology residency at Imperial College in London [England] and two years of clinical and research fellowships in MSK radiology at the Joint Department of Medical Imaging, University of Toronto.
She is an assistant professor at the University of Toronto and the MSK radiology section chief at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, the largest level 1 trauma centre in Canada. She has clinical and research interests in the multimodality imaging of musculoskeletal pathology, with a particular focus in trauma and sports imaging, and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning methods to MSK radiology.
