Doug Simpkin

Dr. Douglas Simpkin is a certified Medical Physicist who has been an MTMI instructor for the Mammography and Computed Tomography Courses for over 20 years.  Dr. Simpkin is a co-author of NCRP Report No. 147 Structural Shielding Design for Medical X-Ray Imaging Facilities and AAPM Task Group 108 Report PET and PET/CT Shielding Requirements. Dr. Simpkin is one of the experts on Diagnostic and Nuclear Medicine radiation shielding and is on staff at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Simpkin has been providing Mammography MQSA quality reviews for facilities since the initial MQSA regulations went into effect and is considered an expert in Medical Radiation shielding and has a unique talent in disseminating the concepts of physics to various audiences.
