Stamatia Destounis

Dr. Destounis is a radiologist at Elizabeth Wende Breast Care in Rochester, New York since 1993. Dr. Destounis participates with several radiology committees locally and nationally and is a past board member of the Eastern Division of the American Cancer Society. She is involved with research on topics including Computer Aided Detection, Breast Ultrasound, Digital Mammography, Breast MRI, Screening Breast Ultrasound and Digital Breast Tomosynthesis.
She has published several peer review articles in radiology journals and has written chapters on the subject of breast imaging. She is an invited speaker locally and nationally for radiology seminars on breast disease topics, as well as her clinical research. She serves on various committees with organizations including SBI, ACR and RSNA and is a reviewer for several peer review journals.
