Louise Miller

Louise Miller,RT(R)(M) co-founder of Mammography Educators, has made a significant impact on the field of breast imaging on a local, national, and international level. From 1990 – 2010, she served as primary coordinator and senior faculty for Quality, Care and Commitment (QCC) Mammography Seminars. These courses have provided didactic and hands-on training for over 20,000 radiologic technologists in the United States and Canada. She developed, implemented and taught the first mammography course in the nation that was connected to a Radiology Technologist program curriculum. Louise is the co-founder and former Director of the Mammography Practicum at the School of Medicine, University of California, San Diego, where she taught for over 25 years. At San Diego Mesa College she also developed, implemented and taught the first Mammography course in the nation that was connected to a Radiology Technologist program curriculum. In 2011, Louise was awarded the National Consortium of Breast Centers (NCoBC) Impact Award, the first mammography technologist to be chosen for this prestigious national honor which recognizes outstanding dedication, commitment, achievement and overall impact on breast cancer detection worldwide.
