About this Program

This program will provide an overview of the benefits and challenges of Clinical MRI Imaging on a 3T magnet.  Review how the imaging parameters can be manipulated to improve image quality when imaging on a 3T MRI system.  This program was developed to provide you with a thorough overview of 3T MR Imaging techniques, and options necessary to obtain high quality MR images.

  • Optimizing for 3T
    • Image Contrast
    • Weighted Images
    • How pulse sequences relate to 3T
    • Pulse Sequence
      • Spin Echo
      • Inversion Recovery
      • Fast Spin Echo
      • Gradient Echo

How it Works:

  • Your On Demand CE activity that you purchased will be located in your “My Account” section once you log into the MTMI Website.
  • You have three attempts to pass each quiz.
  • You must earn a score of 75 % or higher.
  • Credit is recorded the day you submit and pass the quiz and is determined using Central time.
  • You have 30 days to complete and pass the quiz.
  • Once passed, access your MTMI “My Account” to print your “Certificate of Completion.”
  • This video expires 1 year after purchase date.

Educational Objectives

At the completion of this program, participants will:

  • Obtain knowledge on MRI techniques and pulse sequences being used on various studies in the 3T environment.
  • In the 3T environment, explain tissue characteristics (TI, T2, PD, and T2*), and identify images by these characteristics.
  • Explain the differences in pulse sequences and the trade off in parameters that affect image quality in the 3T environment.
