About this Program

Cone Beam CT (CBCT) technology continues to find new clinical utility as a point-of-care imaging modality for imaging the head and extremities in an expanding array of clinical practices, including Otolaryngology, Orthopedics, and the dramatic recent expansion into specialty and general Dentistry.

This webinar will address technical aspects of CBCT that are different from whole-body multi-detector CT systems, primarily aimed at the practicing medical physicist or radiologic technologist with QC responsibilities. We will also review essential aspects of Accreditation of CBCT systems, primarily from the perspective of the medical physicist and radiologic technologist.

Educational Objectives

At the completion of this webinar attendees will:

  • Describe clinical uses and technical aspects of CBCT imaging
  • Differentiate between the various methods to measure dose, traditional and new
  • Discuss the history and QC expectations of IAC in CT Accreditation
