PACS Registry Review for CIIP Exam
About this Program
The emergence of the medical imaging informatics profession and the picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) administrator role is an answer to the complexity of the digital imaging environment. PACS (now called MIMPS by the FDA), management and healthcare informatics require specific knowledge and skills unique to medical imaging informatics technology. This four-part CIIP exam prep series (2 hours each session) prepares students to sit for the Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) certification exam.
Healthcare professionals and imaging informatics professionals (IIP) with current PACS knowledge will benefit most from attending this registry review. As you participate in this CIIP certification refresher, your instructor will follow the CIIP content specifications to help you prepare for the certification exam. It is recommended that you participate in the entire series to obtain the knowledge you will need to successfully pass the CIIP certification exam, though it’s not required. You may choose to only join the sessions relevant to your educational needs and skip the topics in which you feel adequately prepared (from previous education and/or work experience).
Each session in this CIIP exam prep webinar includes a printable download, so attendees can follow along with the presentation and create their own personalized study guides.
This webinar will be presented in four 2-hour sessions. Tuition listed is per session.
The instructors who lead our CIIP certification prep webinars and courses are clinically active experts with years of experience in their fields. They are ready, willing, and able to share that CIIP exam prep expertise with you.

How Hard Is the CIIP Exam?
No doubt, the certified imaging informatics professional (CIIP) certification test from ABII is challenging. After all, it is designed to ensure your understanding of more than 10 areas critical to medical imaging informatics. It covers a lot of ground and will take careful study and exam preparation to pass it successfully. That is where our CIIP exam prep program can make all the difference. From project management issues to image management, MTMI’s registry review program dives into CIIP certification essentials to help you better prepare to take—and pass—the exam.
CIIP Certification Exam Basics
The CIIP certification exam is composed of 170 multiple choice questions, which candidates must answer within 170 minutes. You are allowed three attempts in 12 months to pass the exam, and the retake fee is $250. We understand you may feel under pressure—you want to be as prepared as possible when you take the exam. That’s why we recommend you attend all four sessions of our CIIP exam prep webinar. You may also want to review ABII’s short sample quiz to get a better understanding of what to expect.
If you already have your CIIP certification and are retaking the exam to meet continuing education requirements, our webinar series is a comprehensive, convenient option to refresh your knowledge and create a CIIP study guide. Think of this opportunity as a CIIP practice test.
Meet the requirements to take the CIIP exam
In addition to the webinar, MTMI offers a PACS administrator course, in which you can earn 3 points toward ABII’s 7-point qualification system. Learn more about this program and how it can help you further prepare for the CIIP certification exam.
